This was at the time when Flash was very popular with its usage of bitmap fonts, especially Miniml’s fonts. Having that in mind, I saw the grid on which the logo was stitched on. So I decided to scan the logo and recreate the whole character set starting with the available letters (“P”, “R”, “O”, “D”, etc.). After that was done, I modified each letter in its grid to make it more of a custom job. When I was first designing the font, it was called “Prodige 04, a grid based type experiment”, because I wanted to do 4 weights (which I finally did). The font took me an additional year to complete.
